We are also willing to be paid in the form of an hourly rate, or by a flat fee. With the hourly rate, you will be billed each month for the time we take to help with your case. With a flat fee, we expect payment of the entire fee at the beginning of the representation, and it covers any time we take to help you. As with a contingency fee, we expect the client to pay the cost of preparing for the case other than our time and efforts. This would include the cost of depositions, experts, or investigators.
With any of our fees, we will not represent you until we have put the details of your obligation to pay us in a written fee agreement, which shows what we are expected to do, and how much you will owe.
